March of Dimes Presents Signature Chefs Auction

Chefs from around the Twin Cities are teaming up to help support the March of Dimes and the fight for healthy babies. The organization will present the Minneapolis Signature Chefs Auction on Thursday, October 4 at 6:00 p.m. the McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota campus.

This week the Minnesota Zoo will bid farewell to Allie and Semo.  The two popular dolphins will be moving to another facility.  The zoo needs to make repairs to the 15-year-old dolphin stadium, which will take at least a year.  The tank will need to be emptied while repairs are made.  Officials say Allie and Semo will be moving to somewhere they can be with other dolphins.

State's Firefighters Asking for Donations for New Memorial

Since 1881, when state records began, 193 Minnesota firefighters have perished in the line of duty. For over 20 years, a small memorial for these firefighters has stood at the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport in the baggage claim area next to a kids' play area.

The memorial was placed there when airport security was low and people could roam the airport.

Click 'like' To Help North Memorial Win $'s for Breast Cancer

North Memorial Medical Center is dancing for a cure.  Supporters choreographed a dance in a competition to raise awareness for those affected by breast cancer.

The winner earns $10,000 which will be donated to The Pay It Forward Fund, a breast cancer charity which helps women rebound after battling cancer.

The only way to vote is to "like" the video on Facebook.
