Joly Begins First Day as Best Buy CEO

Hubert Joly began his first day today as Best Buy's President and Chief Executive Officer. Joly was appointed to the position by the Richfield-based company's board of directors in August.

Joly will spend his first week on the job working as a Blue Shirt employee in several Best Buy locations around the Twin Cities.

Looking to get your child's picture taken with Santa this year? Santa is at Mall of America now through December 24th. Santa is located on the 3rd floor between Sears and Bloomingdale's. Reservations are suggested, but not required.

New Prague Library to hold book sale May 1

The New Prague Friends of the Library will hold a Spring Book Sale Saturday, April 17.

There will be a wide variety of books for sale including non-fiction, fiction, junior fiction, children's, DVDs, VHS tapes and audio books. They will also be taking bids on a 16mm projector.

The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the New Prague Public Library.

Prior Lake Farmer's Market opens May 15

The Prior Lake Farmer's Market kicks the 2010 season off May 15.

Residents can come enjoy vendors, crafts, live music and breakfast cooked right on site from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through the middle of October.

The market offers a little something for everyone, including special projects just for kids.

The Prior Lake Farmer's Market is located on Main Ave. between Hastings and Dakota St.
